UPDATE: 3 people walk into hospital after gathering of juveniles, young adults ends in gunfire

DAYTON — Police are investigating after a gathering of juveniles and young adults ends in gunfire in Dayton on Monday morning.

The call came in as shots fired at Princeton Park around 1:40 a.m., according to a Montgomery County Regional Dispatcher.

When officers arrived, there was no one left on scene who was shot or injured, according to a Dayton Police Sergeant.

Officers did locate multiple spent shell casings at the scene.

A short time later, dispatch advised officers of a female arriving at a local hospital who was cut by glass and two other females who arrived with gunshot wounds.

The 18- and 19-year-old females had non-life-threatening injuries from the gunshots.

Police believe there was a gathering at 1600 Princeton Drive involving juveniles and young adults that ended in an apparent exchange of gunfire between two groups.

The incident remains under investigation by the Dayton Police Department’s Violent Offender Unit
