Auglaize and Shelby County Fire Departments were dispatched to a single-story home in the 19000 block of Santa Fe-New Knoxville Road at 2:45 a.m. on reports of a fire, dispatchers for Auglaize County informed.

Firefighters reported seeing visible flames emanating from the house, which upgraded the status to a working fire.

As emergency responders attacked the fire, the status was later upgraded to a two-alarm fire, prompting a larger response and assistance from surrounding fire departments. As a result, at least one Shelby County Fire Station assisted with the efforts.

An investigation of the fire was scheduled after the flames were extinguished.

It was unknown if anyone was evacuated during the incident.
