A family’s 1-year-old daughter was found unresponsive in a pool, which prompted an emergency call for first responders, a spokesperson for the Troy Fire Department stated in a Facebook post.
Troy firefighters and EMS arrived within four minutes and administered CPR. By the time the ambulance arrived at an area hospital’s emergency room, the daughter was breathing and responding again.
She spent a few days in the hospital before returning home to her family.
On Thursday, the daughter and her family visited the fire station to meet Ben Schreiber, Brandon Warner, and Dakota Brown—three of the responders who cared after the daughter during the terrifying incident. Dale Thomson, Eli Morando, and Austin Johnson were also part of her care team.
