1 taken to hospital, power out in area after crash in New Carlisle

NEW CARLISLE — One person was taken to the hospital and power outages were reported after a crash in New Carlisle Saturday night.

Crews were called to a two-car accident with at least one car into a pole at the 600 block of Jefferson Street around 10:40 p.m.

One person was taken to the hospital, according to Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

It was not said how serious their injuries were.

Video from the scene shows a truck and a van with heavy front-end damage and light smoke coming from the van.

The sheriff’s office said there were also reports of power being out in the area of the crash and dispatch notes did not indicate it had been restored yet.
