The fire was reported at the house in the 2000 block of Commonwealth Drive in Xenia just after midnight.

No one was inside the house at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported, Xenia Fire Chief Kenneth Riggsby told News Center 7, updating an earlier report that someone might have been injured in the blaze.

Most of the fire and damage to the house was in the back of the structure towards the garage, Riggsby said. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Additional Greene County departments including Beavercreek, Spring Valley, and Cedarville all responded to assist Xenia in battling the blaze.

Additional details were not released.
