SPRINGFIELD — A man found shot to death in a parking lot on Sunset Avenue early Monday morning has been identified.
Cailus Parks Jr., 28, was found face down in the parking lot in the 900 block of Sunset with a gunshot wound to the back of his head, according to a Springfield police report.

Officers responded to the parking lot around 1:30 a.m.
Police found a single shell casing at the shooting scene and also found a broken gun grip near Parks. It’s not currently known if the gun grip is related to the deadly shooting.
Investigators have said they have no suspects at this time.
