Local AAA locations to participate in Toys for Tots holiday gift drive

Multiple AAA stores will be serving as public donation sites to the Marine Corps Toys for Tots gift drive beginning now through Dec. 5th., according to a AAA spokesperson.

“AAA strives to assist those in need throughout the communities we serve,” the Retail District Manager for AAA Miami Valley, Vicki Gilman said.

Anyone is welcome to donate a new, unwrapped toy to any participating AAA stores, the spokesperson said in a media release Wednesday. Gifts are accepted for children up to 16 years old.

Participating local stores include;

  • Beavercreek location at 3321 Dayton Xenia Road.
  • North Dayton location at 6580 N. Main Street.
  • South Dayton location at 14 W. Whipp Road.
  • Huber Heights location at 8381 Old Troy Pike.
  • Troy location at 4 S. Stanfield Road.

Toys for Tots is a national charity run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve to benefit economically disadvantaged children during each Christmas holiday season, the spokesperson said.

Toys for Tots prefers to not receive gifts with food or realistic looking weapons, the spokesperson said. If these items are donated, they will not be distributed.
