People driving or walking near the intersection of Ackerman and Lincoln Park boulevards may notice something different about the pond.
Work started two weeks ago to drain the pond for replacement of the its original edging which is about 25 years old, according to assistant city manager Steven Bergstresser.
He said the new edging will act more like a retaining wall. The project’s estimated cost is $450,000 and is expected to be complete by early March.
