HARRISON TWP. — A deputy responding to a crash Monday morning used the opportunity for a positive interaction with schoolchildren nearby.
Montgomery County Deputy Scott Hammond high-fived students from the Gloria Dei Montessori School Monday on Shiloh Drive.

Hammond was in the area after a truck brought down some low-hanging telephones wires.
This happened outside of the school around lunchtime Monday, while children were enjoying recess outside. No one was injured.
