Gas prices went up again in the Miami Valley over the last week, but prices are currently trending down.
Average retail gas prices in Dayton have risen 15.6 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.34 per gallon on Sunday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 391 gas outlets in Dayton.
This compares with the national average that has increased 8.1 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.22 a gallon, according to GasBuddy.com.
According to GasBuddy.com, the average price for a gallon of gas in Dayton is $2.33, with prices falling. The cheapest gas, as of this morning, is $2.25 at Marathon at Riverside Drive and Old Riverside Drive.
In Hamilton, the average price for a gallon of gas is $2.29, with prices falling. The cheapest gas is $1.93 at Speedway at Creekside Drive and Hamilton Middletown Road.
In Springfield, the average price for a gallon of gas is $2.33, with prices falling. The cheapest gas is $2.19 at Marathon at S. Yellow Springs Street near Sparrow Road.
