A donor hero’s family was honored on-court during the University of Dayton men’s basketball game against Southeastern Louisiana Saturday afternoon.

Michael Bialowa saved three lives through organ donation, as well as enhanced the lives of several other people through cornea and tissue donation, according to a media release from the Community Outreach Coordinator with Life Connection of Ohio.

Life Connection of Ohio, Community Tissue services and Lions Eye Bank of West Central Ohio held an on-court presentation during the first half of the game at UD Arena to highlight Michael’s life changing donation, the spokesperson said.

Members from Michael’s family accepted the honor on the court during an eight minute timeout, the spokesperson said.

Life Connection of Ohio is a non-profit organization that handles organ donation in West Central and Northwest Ohio, the spokesperson said.
