UPDATE @ 9 a.m.
The horse, named Charge, has been reunited with its owner after delaying traffic and keeping police busy along Hoover Avenue.
The owner of the horse arrived on scene and spoke with police. She tells us she thinks someone might have let the horse out of its enclosure.
Police said the owner will not be cited.
EARLIER
Police in Dayton are working to locate the owner of a horse found grazing by the side of the road this morning.
The loose horse was reported around 6:30 a.m. in the area of Hoover and Miller avenues, according to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center.
