Deputies from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office pursued a stolen truck out of Greene County Thursday night around 10 p.m. The pursuit started near Dixie Highway and Roosevelt Boulevard in Franklin Twp. and continued into the City of Franklin, deputies told News Center 7.

The pursuit ended in a crash on Shaker Road, in the area of East Sixth Street in Franklin near the Franklin Boxboard factory, investigators said.

The driver in the pursuit, identified as Anthony Dill, 33, was taken into custody but hospitalized after the pursuit ended. He remains hospitalized Friday pending surgery for the injuries he sustained in the crash, deputies said.

Dill is facing a charge of failure to comply stemming from the pursuit. He also had several warrants for his arrest out of Greene County, deputies said.

Greene County deputies have been in contact with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office regarding Dill’s arrest and are looking into possible connections to a manhunt in Xenia Twp. earlier this week.

Greene County investigators told News Center 7 the vehicle stolen during the manhunt on Hoop Road had been recovered in Warren County. However they have not said if the vehicle in the pursuit was connected to the stolen vehicle from the manhunt.

Additionally, Greene County deputies have not confirmed if Dill was the subject of the manhunt in Xenia Twp. Monday.

Warren County deputies said they are continuing to stay in touch with Greene County about Dill’s status.

On Monday, an active search was conducted over several hours in the area of Hoop Road near Bickett Road for a man who was believed to be possibly armed and dangerous.

The search began after a man fled from a stolen vehicle on U.S. 35 near Bickett Road. The search prompted a response from an Ohio State Highway Patrol aviation unit.

Deputies called off the search Monday after learning the suspect likely fled the area in a stolen truck, the same truck that Greene County deputies confirmed was recovered in Warren County sometime on Thursday.

This is a developing story and we’ll continue to update this page as we learn more.
