DAYTON — UPDATED (March 27) @ 3:05 a.m.
No OVI arrests were made stemming from sobriety checkpoints conducted by the Combined Agency OVI Task Force of Montgomery County in Dayton Friday night.
A total of 151 vehicles went through the checkpoint at 2222 North James H. McGee Boulevard, according to the task force. Eighteen drivers were found with suspended licenses and Ten with no driver’s license. Thirty-two were diverted, officials said. One warrant was served.
A total of 184 vehicles went through the checkpoint at North Gettysburg Avenue and Kings Highway, according to the task force. Twenty-two drivers were found with suspended licenses and Twelve with no driver’s license. Seventeen were diverted, officials said. Six violation, classified as “other” was issued, according to the task force.
A saturation patrol in the area made two OVI arrests with one being under 21 and the other over 21.
Seven drivers were found with no driver’s license, ten were driving with a suspended driver’s license, twenty-three warnings were issued according to the task force.
There was one felony arrest, one stolen vehicle, and one warrant served.
The task force also found one person with drugs.
INITIAL REPORT
The Combined Agency OVI Task Force of Montgomery County will conduct two sobriety checkpoints in Dayton Friday night.
The checkpoints will be in operation from 7 p.m. to midnight first starting in the area of North James H. McGee Boulevard near North Gettysburg Avenue.
The checkpoint will move later in the night to North Gettysburg Avenue and Kings Highway.
The locations and times of the checkpoints were announced in advance in accordance with state law.
