Police said a woman helped police stop a vehicle occupied by three women who allegedly robbed a 65-year-old man while he was riding his bicycle.
The incident happened Friday afternoon in the 900 block of Salem Avenue, according to the Dayton police report.
Police said the good Samaritan flagged down a police cruiser and pointed at a blue Chevy Equinox, reporting that the occupants had just robbed a man.
Police stopped the SUV and three women followed orders and exited the vehicle, according to the report.
One of the women exited holding a wallet out in front of her and another, 18-year-old Beverly Harris, was yelling that she “only maced him” and “didn’t rob him,” according to the report.
While officers interviewed the women, the alleged victim came peddling up to the scene; he appeared to be in pain and having trouble with his vision, according to the report.
The victim confirmed the good Samaritan’s report that he was robbed and a medic was called to help flush irritant out of his eyes, according to the report.
It’s unclear whether the man got his money back. Harris is being held in the Montgomery County Jail on suspicion of aggravated robbery.
