A Troy man arrested last summer on accusations of rape of a minor pleaded not guilty today to charges involving four juveniles.
Eric J. Massie, 43, was indicted by a Miami County grand jury in March on two felony counts of rape carrying potential sentences of 10 years to life; six counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, carrying potential prison terms of two to eight years; and one of gross sexual imposition, which involves a potential sentence of one to five years.

The indictment includes charges dating to alleged offenses in 1995.
Massie has been held in the Miami County Jail since his arrest in June on suspicion of with rape and gross sexual imposition after an alleged victim told Troy police he had been abused sexually over several years ending last May. Since police began an investigation, the number of accusers has grown to four.

The indictment added charges of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor in 1995, 2002, 2003-04 and 2009-10.
Paul Watkins, an assistant county prosecutor, said investigators spent the past several months conducting further interviews and identifying the additional alleged victims.
The rape charges and the gross sexual imposition charge allege sexual conduct with a person younger than 13 while the other charges allege sexual conduct with someone 13 or older but younger than 16.
Massie appeared for arraignment today before Judge Jeannine Pratt in Miami County Common Pleas Court. Prosecutors requested a substantial bond.
Pratt set a bond of $500,000 covering all charges and scheduled a pretrial hearing for April 17.
