Police sweep both RTA hubs after threat left on bus

DAYTON — UPDATE @ 9:25 p.m.

Both RTA hubs are back open after a sweep turned up no devices.

The sweeps were prompted by a threatening note found tonight on one of the buses.

RTA workers reported the threat after they found it on the side of a bus that came in for routine maintenance at the downtown hub. RTA security then requested that police check both hubs as a precaution, according to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center.

A threatening message found on a bus tonight has police sweeping both RTA hubs for possible devices.

Police are at the hub in downtown Dayton and at the south hub on Lyons Road in Miami Twp.

The message was reportedly a bomb threat.
