Police in Centerville are investigating after a man reported he accidentally shot himself at the Costco fueling station.
Officers and a medic were called at approximately 1:40 p.m. to the business, at 5300 Cornerstone Avenue.
A 63-year-old man from Beavercreek had pulled up to refuel, his wife in the passenger seat, when he apparently accidentally shot himself, according to Centerville police spokesman John Davis.
He was taken to a hospital for treatment of the injury, which is not considered life-threatening.
Davis said the man is stable and receiving care. A detective has been assigned to investigate.
Davis said the man does have a conceal-carry permit. He said it’s too early to tell whether any charges will be filed.
