The suspect who robbed Walgreens in Greenville Thursday evening is described as a man in his 50s to 60s with short, gray hair. He was wearing a dark-colored button down shirt and dark pants and sunglasses.

The man was also wearing a straw hat.

The suspect had a handgun and demanded drugs, according to police. The investigation is ongoing.

FIRST REPORT

Armed robbers hit two Greenville businesses about three hours apart in opposite ends of town and police are looking for the suspects.

About 3:50 p.m., Greenville police said, a male armed with a weapon robbed the Subway on Martin Street, in the south end of town. Police have not been able to determine whether any cash was taken. They have no description of the robber.

About 7:15 p.m., police said, a male described as middle aged used a handgun to rob the Walgreens and left in the direction of Delaware Avenue, in the north end of town.

In the Walgreens robbery, the robber was said to have been wearing a blue button-up shirt, black pants, sunglasses and a straw hat the fell off his head as he fled through the parking lot.

No injuries were reported in either robbery.
