The Clark County Sheriff's Office is crediting vigilant Moorefield Twp. neighbors in the arrest of two people suspected of stealing from a foreclosed home.
Jason Dobie, 32, and Gerald Dobie, 37, are being held in the Clark County Jail on suspicion of theft and possesion of criminal tools.
Neighbors in the 5100 block of Morris Road called 911 shortly after noon today to report seeing two men removing the outdoor air conditioning unit at a foreclosed home, according to the sheriff's office release.
Deputies and detectives responded and found the two Dobies at the Moorefield Family Park, where they were allegedly stripping metal off the AC unit, which was loaded in the back of their pickup truck, according to the release.
"This incident is another good example of law enforcement and the community working together to solve crime," the sheriff's office statement reads.
