A drug tip led to today’s arrest of a 35-year-old Celina man reportedly in possession of more than five grams of methamphetamine.
Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey said his agency received a tip shortly after 9 a.m. that drugs were at a home in the 7000 block of Havermann Road. Deputies and the Celina Police Department around 9:30 a.m. found the suspect, identified as Michael James Wilson Jr., in possession of more than 5 grams of methamphetamine, the sheriff said.
"Tips have increased as of late and so have our arrests," said Grey, who urged more residents to leave tips.
Wilson, who resides in the 200 block of East Wayne Street in Celina, was arrested and booked into the Mercer County Adult Detention Facility on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance. His bond is $125,000, the sheriff said.
