According to Dayton police, Johnson told police a loaded pink handgun was a plastic toy when they were called Jan. 30 to MJ’s Fish and Chips at West Riverview Avenue and Paul Laurence Dunbar Street.

The incident led police to call a “signal 99” — officer in need of assistance — after the business reported there was a gunman inside.
