Man, 53, faces several felony charges in Trotwood rape case

TROTWOOD — A 53-year-old man will be arraigned Tuesday on numerous felony charges in a Trotwood rape case.

Scott A. Smith was indicted on two counts each of rape and abduction, and single counts of aggravated burglary and domestic violence, according to a Montgomery County grand jury report released Wednesday.

The accusations stem from an incident alleged to have happened Sept. 19, according to court records.

Smith has been held in the Montgomery County Jail since his Sept. 27 arrest by Trotwood police.
