An alleged bank robber’s Kroger Plus card was left in the pocket of clothes he ditched after robbing the Day Air Credit Union at the Dayton VA in February.
Quinn Steven Morgan has been charged with bank robbery, according to an affidavit filed in Dayton’s U.S. District Court.
The affidavit written by Federal Bureau of Investigation Special Agent Todd Burkart, says that a suspect approached a Day Air teller at 11 a.m. Feb. 12 and handed over a note that said, “This is a robbery. Give me $100’s and $50’s now.” The suspect appeared to be holding gun in his right hand inside a jacket pocket, the document said.
After making off with $610, Morgan allegedly discarded a tan jacket, grey sweatshirt and brown baseball hat in a storage cage in a hallway behind the credit union.
Dayton VA police matched the clothing with the surveillance footage of the robbery and found a Kroger Plus card inside the tan jacket. Burkart got a Kroger employee to confirm that the card was previously issued to a Quinn Morgan.
No court dates have been set for Morgan.
