Indiana meth squad nets 39 area arrests in 2015

The Indiana State Police’s meth suppression squad netted 39 arrests leading to 162 criminal charges in 2015, according to statistics released this afternoon for the eight-county Pendleton District 51 that includes Wayne and Randolph counties.

The squad assisted assisted with 26 children being removed from homes associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine, the release stated.

The squad also assisted other law enforcement agencies with the arrests of 81 people for a total of 234 criminal charges.

In addition to meth lab investigations, the squad is responsible for the cleanup and disposable of meth lab operations and works closely with other law enforcement agencies, county prosecutors, fire departments, health departments and child services.
