A 21-year-old man was booked into jail after a crash on Rahn Road shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday night, according to Kettering police.
The driver is identified as Sullivan T. Dunn, of Centerville, who was arrested for suspicion of operating a vehicle impaired. He posted bond and was released from jail.
Formal charges are pending with the prosecutor's office, police said.
According to Lieutenant William Karolyi of the Kettering Police Department, the vehicle crashed into the closed garage door, causing the door to land on both cars inside. Extensive damage was also done to the left side garage wall.
When the resident of the home came out to the scene, no one was inside the vehicle. A neighbor said he was sitting outside across the street saw two men flee from the scene.
Crews were sent to the scene and surrounding area to search for the two suspects. Police captured two men on foot matching the description provided by the neighbor.
The passenger of the vehicle sustained a head injury and laceration to his finger. He was transported to a local hospital. The passenger will be charged with public intoxication.
The driver was not injured. When the driver spoke with police, he accused the passenger of jerking the wheel, causing the vehicle to crash into the garage. The passenger denied the allegations.
