Area indoor waterpark, Fort Rapids, in Columbus, has been ordered by Columbus Police to close, according to WCMH-TV in Columbus.
The station is citing a history of violations as the reason behind the police department’s notice to cease operations by February 29.
Fort Rapids Indoor Waterpark Hotel & Conference Center currently has an “F” rating withe Columbus area Better Business Bureau.
51 complaints have been filed against the business, 5 remain unresolved.
According to WCMH, Columbus Police stated bed bugs, cockroaches, air quality, improper foo handling, unpermitted repairs and fire code violations as part of the park’s history.
If hotel staff continues operating past February 29, it would be considered a first degree misdemeanor of operating a hotel without a permit.
A check of the park’s website today shows the park is “Closed Due to Renovations.”
