Bond set at $500,000 in Clearcreek Twp. kidnapping case

CLEARCREEK TWP. — Three people accused of kidnapping a man and keeping him in a dog cage in Clearcreek Twp. had bond set at $500,000 today.

Lindsey Parker, 22; Christopher Edwards, 38; and Bryan Parker, 46; are facing kidnapping and felonious assault charges, according to Warren County court records.

If they make bond, they’ll be on GPS monitoring, a court official said.

Their next court date has not been scheduled yet.

The victim, a 22-year-old Cincinnati man, was held captive from Oct. 16 to 19, according to the indictment.

He was found at Dayton Children’s Hospital after reportedly escaped and took an ambulance to flee.

“The defendants physically restrained and assaulted the victim,” the indictment said. “On Oct. 19, the victim escaped and fled to Clearcreek Fire District Station 22, where he got into a medic and subsequently drove to Dayton Children’s Hospital for help.”

Clearkcreek Twp. Sgt. Wallace Stacy said the man was lured to the residence where he was held captive and thought he was coming to help an ex-girlfriend who said she was being abused.

“And he believed he was on a rescue mission,” Stacy said.

After three days of reportedly being held captive and assaulted, the man escaped to a fire station nearby and took an ambulance.

The victim’s injuries included cuts, burns and bruises, according to police.
