UPDATE: Coroner called to the scene of a pedestrian strike on I-75 near Lyons Road

MIAMISBURG — UPDATE @ 9:27 a.m.:

The coroner has been called to the scene of a pedestrian strike on I-75 near Lyons Road.

According to dispatchers, a 911 call was placed that described the victim as “just standing in the middle of the road” before he was struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle did stop and attempt first aid, however, the victim died at the scene.

Officers have reopened Lyons Road.

The incident remains under investigation.

Emergency crews are on scene of a pedestrian strike on I-75 near Lyons Road.

According to scanners, the report came through just after 5:30 a.m. Saturday morning. The incident involved one individual and one vehicle.

The condition of the victim is not known at this time.
