Courses will be offered in one of three types, either strictly in-person, online, or a hybrid with some online and in-person components, according to the university’s plan. Classes will start Monday Aug. 17 and will continue on campus until Friday, November 20. Final exams for the semester will be conducted online during the first week of December.

Similarly to other area-area universities, Miami will not have a fall break this year.

Outside of the current mask mandate in Butler County, Miami will require facial covering inside all university buildings and outside when social distancing cannot be maintained.

Move-in dates for on-campus living will start Aug. 10 and will be on a staggered schedule through the week before classes start.

All students, faculty, and staff members will be required to conduct a self-assessment for potential COVID-19 symptoms. Space will be designated on campus for those with symptoms, those with positive test results, and those awaiting test results.

A website was launched by the university contains more guidelines and details about the Healthy Together Plan with resources for campus members.
