Coronavirus: Dayton woman accused of exposing others to COVID-19 while shoplifting from Kroger

SHARONVILLE — A Dayton woman is jailed in Hamilton County after she allegedly stole groceries from a Sharonville Kroger Tuesday and knowingly exposed people to COVID-19 in the process, according to a report from our news partners at WCPO-TV in Cincinnati.

Court documents allege Stephanie “Lauren” Incarnato, 28, previously tested positive for COVID-19 and “knowingly exposed Kroger employees and present members of the general public" despite knowing the results of the test, the station reports.

Incarnato is accused of stealing nearly $1,300 worth of groceries from the Kroger location on U.S. 42 near Fields Ertel Road. She is facing initial charges of exposing others to contagion, theft, and possession of drugs, according to the WCPO-TV report.

Incarnato has been isolated in the Hamilton County Justice Center, away from other inmates. She will remain in isolation for 14 days and will be monitored by medical personnel.
