DAYTON — Three Dayton recreation centers, Greater Dayton, Northwest and Lohrey, and the Jim Nichols Tennis Complex, will reopen to the community June 15.

The recreation centers will open fitness rooms and offer group exercise classes, but other programs are postponed until further notice, according to a press release.
The number of visitors that can enter a facility and participate in activities will be reduced in order to comply with CDC COVID-19 guidelines.
Patrons and staff members must follow the following rules:
- Patrons must pre-register for 45-minute slots to use the fitness rooms, group exercise classes and track at Greater Dayton. Patrons can register by calling or visiting one of the recreation centers.
- Patrons must wear a mask, sanitize hands, have their temperature taken and answer three health-related questions upon entering a facility building.
- Showers and locker use will not be permitted. Patrons must arrive dressed for their activity.
- Restrooms will only be available for their intended purpose and not for changing clothes.
- Patrons must leave the facility immediately through an assigned door when their activities are complete.

The facilities will also be operating under modified hours.
The recreation centers will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Designated time from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. will be given to people 65-years-old and older only.
Jim Nichols Tennis Complex will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m.
“You are partners in this with us, and with your full cooperation we will be able to continue to operate and expand these programs and activities,” Dayton Recreation and Youth Services Director Robin Williams said thanking recreation patrons.
