Clouds hold through the overnight while it slowly becomes more humid as southwest winds continue to funnel up warm and moist air, Storm Center 7 Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs said.

"Showers and storms are possible late tonight before sunrise tomorrow, especially across the northwest," Vrydaghs said. "Say goodbye to the cool and comfortable overnights, as we only fall into the mid-60s by morning."

On Monday, a cold front will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms to the area.

"Some thunderstorms have the capability of producing heavy rain, lightning, strong winds and hail," Vrydaghs said.

It will be warm and humid with highs in the low to mid-80s. Showers and storms are expected to come to an end for most of Monday night. It will be mild and muggy through the night with lows around 70 degrees.

Showers and storms are possible by daybreak Tuesday as another wave of wet weather approaches. There will be more rain and thunderstorms during the day, and highs will be in the lower 80s.

"Storms that develop may become strong to severe. Flooding may be a bigger issue for Tuesday after Monday's rain," Vrydaghs said.

On Wednesday it will not be as wet, but a few passing showers are still possible in the afternoon. It will be partly sunny and not as warm with highs in the upper 70s.

On Thursday it will be partly cloudy and beautiful, Vrydaghs said, and less humid with highs in the upper 70s.

On Friday, there will be mostly sunny skies with highs in the low 80s to wrap up the workweek.
