Premier Health and the Centerville City Schools have announced a five-year extension of their partnership, which includes Centerville High School purchasing 66 acres of land from Miami Valley Hospital.
The board of education approved an amended sports medicine and marketing agreement. In March, the board had approved the purchase of the land for $2.8 million.
“Since this is the only land available next to Centerville High School, we felt it was in the best interest of the district to purchase it for future use,” said Clara Osterhage, president of the Centerville Board of Education. “We have had a long-time interest in obtaining this land, and we’re excited to see the opportunity come to fruition.”
The agreement will remain in place through June 2032.
