Tree of Lights at Carillon Historical Park starts holiday season

DAYTON — UPDATE @ 5:30 p.m.: Ohio's largest tree of lights, at 200 feet tall and 20,000 volts, is now lighting up the night sky at Carillon park.

A Carillon Christmas kicks-off today featuring The Carillon Tree of light.

WHERE: Carillon Historical Park, 1000 Carillon Blvd, Dayton, OH 45409

WHEN: Nov. 30 to Dec. 30, 5:00 p.m. to 10 p.m.

ADMISSION:

  • $8 per adult (ages 18-59)
  • $7 per seniors
  • $5 per child (ages 3-17) and students
  • Free for Dayton History Members and children under 3

Thousands of Christmas lights, traditional holiday fare, Santa Claus, live music, historical craft demonstrations and more will be used to spread holiday cheer to the Dayton community, according to a news release.

The park will also experience the longest evening operating hours in its history.

“We knew we wanted to provide the community with extended holiday programming, and with the overwhelming popularity of the Carillon Tree of Light, it became evident that the time had arrived to debut A Carillon Christmas—a brand new Dayton Christmas tradition,” said Carillon Historical Park President & CEO Brady Kress.

A Carillon Christmas will start this evening at 5:00 p.m. and last until 10 p.m just before The Tree of Light lighting at 5:30 p.m..
