The AIDS Resource Center Ohio announced this morning an expansion of its mission, scope of services and a change to its name to meet the increasing needs of the communities it serves.
The not-for-profit will now be known as Equitas Health.
Equitas comes from Latin origins, meaning justice, fairness and equity, according to a release.
Expanded services include primary care, specialized HIV care, women’s health, transgender health, HIV testing and treatment, health navigation, behavioral health, pharmacy, dentistry, and other wellness, prevention and supportive services, a release said.
