Demonstrators supporting President Donald Trump gathered peacefully at the courthouse in Columbus minutes after the Associated Press projected that Joe Biden will win the presidential election.

COLUMBUS — A peaceful demonstration took place at the statehouse Saturday morning among Trump Supporters, according to News Center 7′s Jim Otte.

The demonstration took place minutes after the AP projected Biden the winner of the presidential election but the demonstration has actually been planned since earlier this week, the timing was coincidental, said Otte.

There were no guns visible and they were chanting that they would not give up and Trump should keep fighting.

Some signs read “Stop the Steal”.

Otte also said that plywood was put up on the windows of surrounding buildings in the summer after the George Floyd protest, but the glass has since been replaced. However, there is plywood back up in the windows in anticipation of civil unrest this week.

Otte also said that there was only one counter-protester holding a Biden sign but he wasn’t saying anything.
