DAYTON — On Saturday afternoon, the Montgomery County Board of Developmental Disabilities held their first “Trunk or Treat” event at the Northview Center.
Typically the MCBDD hosts a Halloween carnival, but due to COVID-19 and safety precautions, they held a trunk or treat drive-thru instead. Dozens of families showed up, dressed in costumes.

Everyone there had to stay in their cars and wear masks.
Dr. Pamela Combs, the Superintendent of MCBDD said “We serve over 5,000 people in Montgomery County with developmental disabilities and a lot of events have been canceled or it’s just hard to get out and have fun so this was a safe way to keep everyone distanced in their vehicles but still kind of get to see each other."
The MCBDD is now working to plan another event for Christmas.
