Dayton Police ask public for help in tracking down suspect vehicles in shooting of shopper

DAYTON — Police are looking for two vehicles believed to have been used in the shooting of a shopper outside the Dollar General on Linden Avenue in early September. Someone using a BB or pellet gun shot the man in the eye, police said.

Tuesday, the Dayton Police Department released video that purports to show two vehicles, one believed to be a sports sedan and the other an SUV, that sped by the man who was getting his things together on a nearby bench.

He was hit as the vehicles passed by, police said they believe, and detectives would like to speak to the drivers and/or passengers of the vehicles seen in the video.
