DAYTON — Friday was one of the hospital’s favorite celebrations of the year. This year’s celebration was different, but that didn’t they didn’t put on the best show they could for their kids. The overall theme this year, appropriately enough, was characters that usually wear a mask.

All children in the hospital received a costume from Spirit of Children and a goodie bag in their room. There was no parade this year, but the staff went all out decorating the units in a theme of their choice.

Dayton Children’s posted the photos to their Facebook and has asked our followers to pick the winner of the decorating contest.  The Women’s Board, an auxillary fundraising group for the hospital, arranged a food truck rally in one of their parking lots in which a portion of all the sales benefited the hospital.

The hospital would like to give thanks to Agnes All Natural Grill, Mommaz Boyz, Ron’s Holy Smokin' BBQ, Taco Street Co. and SOCA Food Truck - and the Women’s Board for hosting the event.
