Look for the International Space Station this Weekend

DAYTON — This weekend will be the best chance to see the I.S.S. flyover the Miami Valley in the morning!

Wake up early both Saturday and Sunday morning and head outside.

  • Saturday: Look to the west/southwest for the ISS to appear around 7:02 a.m. It will be visible for 6 minutes before setting in the northeast.
  • Sunday: Look to the south/southwest at 6:16 a.m. for the ISS to appear! It will be visible for 3 minutes, very high in the sky before setting in the northeast.

The International Space Station will look like an airplane or bright star moving through the sky but there won’t be any flashing lights.

It will move quickly through the sky!

The I.S.S. moves 17,500 miles per hour!
