I-70 west reopens after multi-semi crash in Preble County; 2 taken to hospital

PREBLE COUNTY — The westbound lanes of I-70 in Preble County have reopened following a crash involving three vehicles Friday afternoon, according to dispatchers at the Dayton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported around 2:30 p.m. in the westbound lanes of I-70 near state Route 503 near Lewisburg. Dispatchers said the crash involved two semitrailers and a passenger vehicle.

One person suffered minor injuries and another person suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to dispatchers. Both people were transported to Miami Valley Hospital.

State troopers were routing traffic off the highway at the state Route 503 exit.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation at this time.
