Dayton man identified as victim of deadly crash in Harrison Twp. Wednesday night

HARRISON TWP. — The Montgomery County Coroner has identified a Dayton man as the victim of a deadly crash on Salem Avenue Wednesday night.

Keith McKinnon, 41, of Dayton, was identified as the victim killed in the crash on Salem Avenue south of West Siebenthaler Avenue around 9:35 p.m. Wednesday, Montgomery County Coroner Dr. Kent Harshbarger said in a media release Thursday.

McKinnon’s cause and manner of death have not been determined were still under investigation, Harshbarger said.

The 2011 Chrysler car McKinnon was driving crashed into an RTA pole on Salem Avenue, a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson said in a previous media release. McKinnon was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary investigations showed the car was going south on Salem Avenue at an unknown speed and traveled off the left side of the road, hitting the RTA pole, deputies said.

The crash remains under investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Forensic Services Unit.
