DAYTON — Former University of Dayton guard Elijah Weaver announced Thursday that he will be transferring from UD to Chicago State.

Weaver announced he was entering the transfer portal on March 30th.

Weaver played in the 2020-2022 for the Flyers after transferring from USC. He redshirted the first semester of the 2020-21 season before he was eligible two hours before making his debut in Dayton’s win over Ole Miss. Weaver made his first UD start at Davidson in January scoring 11 points.

Last season, Weaver appeared in 22 games making five starts before his season ended in February due to a wrist injury.

He scored over 10 points in seven games and average 6.6 points a game last season. Weaver made 9-14 three-point shots to help Dayton win the ESPN Events Invitational last season.

The Dayton Flyers went 24-11 this past season, finished tied for the second place in the Atlantic 10 and lost in the Second Round of the 2022 NIT.
