Thursday is the 51st anniversary of Earth Day and one simple step to help the environment at home is to try and recycle more.
One thing you can do with old cans, jars, and bottles is to try some of the experiments Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Kirstie Zontini to teach your kids a bit about how weather works.
All the activities require something you can recycle.
Check them out here:
- Make a rain gauge
- Create a tornado in a jar
- Make frost using a can
- Make a cloud
- Learn about air pressure with a recycled bottle
