TULSA, Okla. — Police officers adopted four of five puppies found abandoned on Christmas Day at a QuikTrip store in Tulsa, KOKI-TV reported. The fifth puppy went home with one of the convenience store’s employees, according to the news station.
Police shared news of the adoption Sunday on Facebook, one day after the puppies were found in a zipped duffel bag left on the counter of the store.
“If you’re looking for a pet, please adopt don’t shop,” police said in Facebook post. “There are lots of rescues and shelters that are over capacity for abandoned pets.”
