If you were trying to get the new PlayStation 5 as it went on sale Thursday, you may find yourself out of luck.
The latest version of the gaming system went on sale at midnight and the consoles were quickly snapped up. At 6 a.m., the system was sold out at Target, Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop and Newegg.
Citing COVID-19 concerns, Sony, the company that makes the system, announced earlier in the year that the PS5 will only be available online via select retailers.
On Thursday, Walmart is offering the PS5 on its website four times during the day. You can go to Walmart’s website at noon, 3 p.m., 6 p.m., and 9 p.m. (all times Eastern Time) for a shot at getting one from the retailer. Be warned, quantities are limited.
The devices are not available for in-store purchases. You can only try to buy one online.
