According to KOKI-TV, the incident occurred last week near the intersection of East Apache Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Tulsa police said Brian Thomas, 21, accompanied the landlord as he went to a property to collect rent from a tenant, the news outlet reported. After the tenant failed to pay, Thomas, who was wearing brass knuckles, beat him and threatened him with a gun, police said.

The tenant was treated at a nearby hospital, Tulsa police Sgt. J.P. Ward told the news outlet.

Police on Saturday arrested Thomas at his apartment, where officers “recovered two pistols and evidence of marijuana distribution,” the department said in a Facebook post Monday. He was booked on multiple charges, including assault with a firearm and a gang-related offense, KOKI reported. The charges also included “after conviction of a felony,” authorities said.
