WAXAHACHIE, Texas — Police said a man was upset over someone parking in his spot in Texas, so he shot the person.
Irina Post told WFAA that her husband, Shane Post, was being dropped off by a friend in their gated parking lot on April 19 in Waxahachie, Texas.
“This next spot is the neighbor’s spot, so he parked there to drop Shane off,” Irina Post told WFAA.
But shortly after pulling into the parking spot, the neighbor came out and confronted Shane Post for parking there.
Police said there had been confrontations in the past, the Waxahachie Daily Light reported.
“He came out in a robe, and he had already his gun loaded in his pocket,” Irina Post told the news station.
The incident was caught on camera and shows Shane Post walking slowly to the man whom police identified as Nikki Brown. Brown then pulls the gun from his pocket and shoots Shane Post, who first falls down, before getting up and limping away.
Brown was still there when police arrived and was taken into custody. He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, the Waxahachie Daily Light reported.
Police confirmed the confrontation was over the parking spot.

Shane Post was taken to an area hospital where he was being treated for injuries to his liver, colon, pancreas and urethra, WFAA reported.
