OMAHA, Neb. — A homeowner installed a 20-foot tall inflatable snowman after a neighbor refused to move their political signs.
The neighbors have an amicable relationship. However, when Mercedez Honeyman-Stuart and Fred Stuart became the victims of collateral damage because of their neighbor’s political signs when eggs were thrown at their house, they asked Paul Bellinger to move them to the other side of the lawn.
“We didn’t even ask to take it down,” Fred Stuart told KETV. “We asked him to move it to a different side so people didn’t think it was on our property.”
When Bellinger refused, Stuart came up with what he thought was a positive solution — a smiling, waving, 20-foot tall inflatable snowman.
The neighbors both plan to take down their signs after Election Day.
“We’ll soon have maybe a new president,” Bellinger told KETV. “Maybe not. I don’t — we don’t know, but the big message from all four of us ... is go vote.”
